Already?

Yesterday I realized that the first quarter of this school year is ending this week. I can't believe it, because it went by just so fast!!  :O

I can really say, that I had a lot of fun, although the first weeks were kind of dificult in different ways. But with the time I'm getting used to how everything works here and  you getting to know people better. That makes you feeling a lot more comfortable than before.

So this week was the president election and Obama won. Our State by the way voted all in all also fo him. Yesterday, Friday, I finally had to give my "Senior" speech in front of our English class. When I practiced it at home it was around 7 minutes long and I was just allowed to use one small sheet of paper to write some points down. So I was really nervous, because I know if I loose once the red line I won't find it again and improvise in English? Better not! :D But in the end I luckily didn't forget anything and it was 2 minutes less than before. Probably because I forgot to say some sentences. I'm glad that I'm done now and just have to read out loud another time in front of some teachers and the principal, which isn't as embarrassing as that in my opinion.

After school on the dame day, we had the frozen 5k run, where our school collected money for "Project Santa". It is a donation to make kids who have no family a christmas gift, who otherwise wouldn't get anything.  People who gave a donation of 20 $ or more got a shirt and were running the 5 kilometer. Of course you could have just donate some money but I thought it's fun to run :) I think I've never run so many distances as that before. This time I felt a little sick, but all in all it was a good run. And it was really cold and windy... brrr

Actually it should also snow this Sunday, we will see...
