How you all maybe realized, I didn't write something for a long time. I actually wanted to write a new years entry and I wrote one but only on paper and not on here. I'm still planing to put it one here :) Just need to find the time... This article is to update you about the first two weeks of the new year.
Well the first event was Frida's 18th birthday, we celebrated last Saturday. It was really cold this night but we made a big bonfire in the woods and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs and so on. I ate my first smores, which is a combination of marshmallow in the middle of honey cracker and chocolate piece. We tried to take a bunch of pictures at the fire, but they mostly resulted in a bad quality. After it turned midnight, we enjoyed her birthday cake. A chocolate-fudge ice cream cake. Yum! :D On the next day I went with some people to the movietheatre to watch "Les Miserables", a movie about the french revolution. Almost everybody else was kind of bored and annoyed by the movie because it was a musical, where they're singing the entire time. I liked the context of this film but it is a little bit to much singing in my opinion. I just think, as long you are at least a little interested in world history, you will like this movie... So I was a little disappointed, that the others didn't like and were texting with their cellphones during the showing :\
Another thing the other exchange students and me just realized this week is, that half of our time here is already over. And it makes me kind of sad because I was dreaming of doing this for more than 3 years and then it's going to be over so fast! We should really enjoy every remaining second of it and I should take more pictures in the future ;) You know, whta I really don't miss at all? All this pressure I have in my German school. Like here, I don't even have to have really good grades because nobody, except maybe me cares about it. I bet my German school doesn't even look at my grades from this year. So, why stressing yourself out for it? I mean, I study and do my homework but I don't mind so much, like I do in Germany and that's kind of nice. You time to think about more different stuff, than school, school, school! But as much as I enjoy my relaxing time here )in regard of my grades) I'm going to be worried about them next school year. And I have to study a lot more then, than I did before. I the difference between 10th and 11th grade will be probably more noticable for me, than if I was directily changing from grade to grade. But in return I can do this amazing experience, which is deffinitely the biggest I've ever done before :)
So, with this words I'm gonna let you go into the week-end and hope you're going to enjoy it! And don't forget: Yolo!
